A strong résumé isn’t just pretty.

It should guide the readerʼs eye and get past screening software.

  • Updated contact info (no icons — plain text only)
  • Clear objective aligned with the target role (skip the generic fluff)
  • Key strengths summarized with industry-relevant keywords
  • Experience = role + context + measurable outcomes
  • Relevant education, continuous training, affiliations
  • Layout that fits the role — creative for design jobs, clean for the rest
  • Avoid columns, tables, or “too-pretty-to-parseˮ templates
  • Always save as readable PDF (not an image or locked Canva format)

Tip: Have two versions if needed

One ATS-friendly version

One polished version for direct contacts or networking moments
